Maple sugaring has been an integral part of New Hampshire’s economy since colonial times. It has grown into an industry which grosses in excess of $100 million annually. The NHMPA was founded in 1943 with the intent to promote maple production and educate the public about its value and importance to the state. The Association promotes the maple industry throughout the year through educational programs at state fairs, expositions and an Ag in the Classroom program. All are accomplished by volunteer efforts.
